The pool/clubhouse now has an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) fully charged and mounted
outside of the lifeguard shack on the patio. No formal training is required to use an AED in a cardiac
emergency. The defibrillator will verbally walk you through all of the steps necessary to use it.

Most AED’s have a battery that’s good for about 5 years. This one is rechargeable, which means that it
has to be charged every 5 months. For that reason we have ordered a trickle charger for it and will have
a receptacle installed there so that it will always have a charge.
