Hello Overlook neighbors!
Since 2019, one of your neighbors has adopted a portion of the Nance Cove shoreline on behalf of the Overlook Neighborhood through Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services Adopt-a-Stream program.
To honor that commitment every year, the Social Committee has organized three Stream Clean-Up events for us to pick up trash around our community docks and beautify our neighborhood. This year’s events are planned for the following dates:
- Saturday, May 2, 8am-noon (rain date Sunday, May 3)
- Saturday, July 11, 8am-noon (rain date Sunday, July 12)
- Saturday, September 12, 8am-noon (rain date Sunday, September 13)
You are welcome to participate for as long as you’d like on those days. Just check in any time before 11am at the table in the clubhouse parking lot.
- Gloves, trash bags, grabbers, and waders are provided.
- Snacks, water, sunscreen, and bug spray will also be available.
- Prizes are available for kids who play the “Trash Bingo” game while they’re participating.
