NC Wine Gals Trip - The Unsweet Wine Tour
The Overlook Social Committee is pleased to offer a full-day, 6 hour escorted tour of 3 Yadkin
Valley Wineries, with the NC Wine Gals, on Sat. Sept. 27, 2025
Pick-up from the Club House at 10:30 am, and drop-off at 4:30 pm
The price per person is $175 non-refundable (inc taxes and gratuities), which must be paid to
confirm your spot. Payment details provided once participant numbers confirmed.
Tour Overview:
First Vineyard - Raffaldini
Resembling Tuscany more than North Carolina, this Italian-inspired vineyard will be our first
stop. The group will enjoy an assortment of Italian-style wines and charcuterie. Guests can also
walk around and enjoy the vineyard.
Second Vineyard - Castello Barone
Next door to Raffaldini is a new, husband-and-wife-owned vineyard serving some of the best
red wines in the Yadkin and our favorite white, the Vermentino (think Italian sauvignon blanc).
Guests will enjoy their stay here, as owner/winemaker Scott will take them on a mini tour of
his vineyard.
Third Vineyard - Piccione
To finish the day, we will stop at Piccione, perched on a hill and offering sweeping views of the
Blue Ridge Mountains and its vines. Lunch, if ordered, will be served at this stop.
What’s included:
The price is $175 per person and includes:
- Visits to 3 beautiful WNC vineyards
- Multiple charcuterie boards from Off The Block at 1st stop
- 1 bottle of wine per 3 people; based on the proposed group size of 32, your group
would receive 11 bottles at each vineyard or more than 8 oz of wine at each stop
(approx. glass and a half) - Lunch is not included but can be purchased for an additional fee. Choices are: pesto
roast beef, Tuscan chicken, Italian meat or roasted veggie sandwich. Prices from $15 -
