You can find your trash/recycling collection day by visiting https://www.charlottenc.gov/Services/Trash-and-Recycling. We also suggest downloading the CLT+ app, which will provide you with trash/recycling collection schedules, as well as other city services. You can download the CLT+ app by visiting https://www.charlottenc.gov/City-Government/News-Updates/Get-the-CLT-App or searching CLT+ in the Google and Apple app stores
The social committee hosts an Easter egg hunt around the park and gazebo in April.
Memorial Day marks the opening of the pool, and is usualy accompanied by a neighborhood pool party, hosted by the Overlook HOA Board.
For the 4th of July, hop in your boat and head out into the main channel to search for fireworks displays, which can be found all around the lake.
Halloween is a huge event for Overlook. Hundreds of children from all over the area descend onto our streets to get their candy fix.
Around late November, mark your calendars for the annual Turkey Trot, which helps feed hungry families for Thanksgiving.
Christmas transforms Overlook into a winter wonderland. Most houses add lights and decorations to their yards and houses. Decorations for both holidays are encouraged!
Santa Claus pays a visit to the clubhouse around the 2nd weekend in December to enjoy cookies, milk and pictures with the kids.
Halloween is a HUGE event for Overlook. Hundreds of trick-or-treaters from in and around the community descend on Overlook to get their candy fix. Overlook Mountain Drive is lined with parked cars, ghosts and goblins from sunset until around 9pm. It’s not uncommon for houses on the main drag to get several hundred trick-or-treaters. Make sure to stock up on candy!
Overlook hosts a number of recurring events (Wine Social, Food Trucks, Easter Egg Hunt, Annual Yard Sale, Pool Opening Party, Halloween, Turkey Trot, Holiday Party, Cookies with Santa, Summer Movie Nights, Chili Cookoff, Christmas Party). There are many kid-friendly events throughout the year in Overlook. Some of the most popular are: Easter egg hunt, swim team, kids triathlon, cookies w/ santa, pool party, summer movie night in the park, kids free library, lemonade stands and more!
